This exhibition is part of FotoFocus 2022 Biennial
Trees are a record of the world, holding time and marking it in ways we cannot completely fathom, and in ways that are unappreciated by most. They breathe air into the sky to sustain us, while also sequestering elements from the air into the ground and in their own bodies. In this way they serve as intermediaries quite literally between heaven and earth.
The Overstory explores the notion of time as record through these great fellow beings we live amongst and how they hold a kinship with the lens, always seeing and experiencing, protecting their secrets until someone seeks them out.

Shortlisted at The Royal Photographic Society 164th Exhibition
4 gum bichromate pieces from the series Visible Obscured, along with 2 of the cyanotype ashwood stumps have been shortlisted for the RPS INTERNATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION 164. Final exhibition selections will be made in September. The International Photography Exhibition 164 will be on display at RPS Gallery, Bristol in January 2023. It will then tour the United Kingdom and will reach its final venue at the Museum of Gloucester in January 2024.

Living Land is an invitational group exhibition about the growth and decay of the natural world. Through a variety of media, the artists included in this exhibition focus on the following themes: the effects of invasive species, the connections between human beings, trees, and animals, spiritual forces present in nature, the changing agricultural landscape, and the raw power of nature itself.
